CCA Introducing: Charlie Rydzewski

CCA Derry~Londonderry is delighted to announce the next artist as part of CCA Introducing: Belfast-based artist Charlie Rydzewski. Charlie's takeover will take place on Thursday 29 June 2023 on CCA's Instagram @CCADLD.

Charlie was nominated for the takeover by artist Phillip McCrilly, who has previously been shown in the exhibition Irish Modernisms (2021), was part of CCA's Culture Night 2021 with Screenprint your Ephemera (2021), and took part in The Landis Museum: Residency 3 (2018).

During Charlie's takeover, they will expand on research surrounding their work, which explores bio materials, performance and participatory installations as a way to share ideas surrounding spiritual worship, surrendering to earth and nature.

Charlie Rydzewski is a Belfast based artist exploring the interconnections between art, earth and being. Charlie uses energy channelling and conscious intention setting as a form of communal performance offering. As part of their practice, they host participatory events as celebrations of being, knowledge sharing and earth reconnection.
