Come along and get involved with Danderball 50+ Walking Football Tournament

This Danderball 50+ Walking Football Tournament forms part of the Public Programme for Michael Hanna's solo exhibition Crossing the Park. The exhibition follows Michael's attempt to change which football team he supports, from Everton to their local rivals Liverpool.

For the tournament Michael will be coaching a team representing Liverpool, as part of his attempts to increase his connection with the club. Special guest artist and Liverpool fan Mitch Conlon will be joining us as host and referee! At the previous exhibition of this project in June, Michael organised a match for players of all ages in the Courtyard of the Irish Cultural Centre in Paris. The Danderball 50+ Walking Football Tournament is a way for people to get involved with sports, get active, try something new and test their skills with other local players! CCA is partnering with Bogside & Brandywell Health Forum and Old Library Trust to make this possible!

If you are aged 50+ and would like to join a team or register your existing team email the CCA team on info@CCADLD.org. The exhibition launched at CCA on 5 October 2024 and runs until 21 December 2024.

The Tournament takes place in Séan Dolan's GAC, 60 Bligh's Lane, Creggan, Derry~Londonderry, BT49 9PU. Visit here for directions. Spectators are more than welcome!
