'Irish Modernisms' seminars: Global contexts | Post-Soviet Baltic
18 Aug 21
A public performance by artist David Sherry (born in Northern Ireland, lives and works in Glasgow), commissioned as part of the Banks of the Foyle Halloween Carnival. The performance took place on the night of 31st October along the city’s quays.
Sherry’s wider practice includes performance, drawing, video, sculpture, and sound. His work often reflects on cultural codes, asking questions of accepted and learned behaviours: What is work? What is success? What is respect? What is a living? What is happiness?
