Hill Top Lough, Donegal
Join artist Ciarán Ó Dochartaigh and CCA offsite at a hill top lough in Donegal for an illustrated talk, with tools, large circular table (in two semi-circular halves) and a canoe designed and built for the setting on Saturday 23 October 2021, 4:30pm.
The lough in question has undergone a huge ecological shift in the past 15 years. This change to the lake is irreversible and solely down to human interference. The lough is also the main public water supply for the surrounding region.
The event will act as a preview to Ciarán Ó Dochartaigh’s upcoming show at CCA (January–March 2022) and his forthcoming unofficial published guide to loughs of Donegal, which will be launched during the exhibition run at CCA.
Be prepared for all terrain and all weather. The event is outside and will last approximately one hour in the lead up to sunset; wearing sensible shoes (boots), layers and bringing torches is recommended.
Book your free place through CCA's online shop here. The location of the event will be emailed to ticket-holders 24 hours before the event.
