Latitudes
Latitudes is an independent curatorial office initiated in April 2005 by Max Andrews and Mariana Cánepa Luna, that works in an international context from and in Barcelona, Spain.
Recent projects by Latitudes include Lawrence Weiner – The Crest of a Wave, Fundació Suñol, Barcelona (2008); Portscapes, a series of ten commissions in the Port of Rotterdam, the Netherlands (2009) and the participation in the two editions of No Soul For Sale: A Festival of Independents (X Initiative, New York, 2009, and Tate Modern, London, 2010). Latitudes was a partner organisation in The Last Newspaper at the New Museum, New York (2010–11), and was the guest curator of Amikejo, the 2011 season of Laboratorio 987, project space of MUSAC, León, Spain. The Dutch Assembly was an accumulation of thirty events by art institutions and artists from The Netherlands convened for ARCOmadrid 2012. Most recently, Latitudes initiated the ongoing project Incidents of Travel in Mexico City (2012) and Hong Kong (2013) for which artists developed day-long city tours.
