Artist and maker Jack McGarrigle returns to CCA with Ry Adeyinka for Queers Won't Be Quiet: Placard Workshop taking place in CCA on Saturday 17 August 2024, 1pm–4pm.

Whether it is a message of love or a message of protest, come along and express your message of pride on a placard. Materials will be provided and feel free to bring any personal materials you would like to use.

Pride is anti-capitalist. Pride is anti-oppression. Pride is anti-genocide. Pride is a protest.

Book your place via CCA's online shop CCADLD.org/Shop. Places are limited and booking is essential for this free workshop. This event is for participants aged 16 and over. After booking we will contact all participants and you can tell us any access requirements that we can help with.

Jack McGarrigle (he/him) is a queer artist, maker and facilitator from Derry~Londonderry. Based in Belfast, Jack is a scenic artist, and a carpenter in-training. Jack constructs sets and costumes for theatre productions, carnivals and festivals. He also works with various community and youth-art programmes across the North. He works mostly in wood and textiles, and is partial to a good banner. Pride for Jack is always anti-capitalist, and always a protest.
