School's Programme: URGENCIES (2025)

We are delighted to share our latest School's Programme workshop for URGENCIES (2025). Artist educator Matthew Donnelly devised a creative activity for the children to do in the gallery. 

Matthew took inspiration from the work of URGENCIES (2025) artist Kelly Ewing. Beneath the water, 2025, offers a speculative, virtual response to the degradation and potential regeneration Lough Neagh, with a focus on the algae blooms. Matthew invited the children to think about a place that was special to them, and create and draw a character that could protect that place. Special places ranged from their bedroom, their family home, their grand-parent's house, to the football pitch, the park, the beach, Spain and the entire world.
