Summer Family Activity
Saturday 31 August, 2024
1–3pm
As part of the Public Programme for the current exhibition Strata, Eibhlín Morrison welcomes children and families to a free workshop, where you will make your own fossil reliefs in clay.
Eibhlín will ask you each to roll out your clay tile. Next, you will choose a selection of natural materials from the items provided - these include ferns, pebbles, shells, sticks and foliage. You will press these items into your clay surface, making a natural relief. The imprints will dry and become an earthy fossil.
This is a free, Public Programme event for Strata. The event is suitable for children ages 5+. Supervision from a parent or guardian is required. Tickets are limited and booking is essential. You can book your free place through CCA’s online shop here.
Supported by the National Lottery through the Arts Council of Northern Ireland.
